Local man invents a fourth kind of Tuesday; neighbors 'deeply unsettled'
Gary Plonk, 41, says the new Tuesday 'fits between the other ones.' His neighbors have started locking their calendars.

Gary Plonk of Sector 9 announced on Monday — the old Monday, the normal one — that he had invented a brand-new kind of Tuesday.
"There was room," Plonk told The Web Notifier from his garage, which now contains two clocks pointed at each other. "Everybody keeps saying they need more time. Well, here it is. It's in the gap between Tuesday and the feeling of Tuesday."
Neighbors say the new Tuesday arrives without warning, lasts about forty minutes, and smells faintly of printer toner.
"I went to get the mail and it was Tuesday for the second time," said Deb Wurtz, who lives across the street. "Same mail. Same look on the dog's face. I don't want to talk about the dog."
The Galactic Bureau of Standards has asked Plonk to stop. Plonk says he would love to, but the off switch is scheduled for a Tuesday and he can't remember which one.
At press time Plonk was working on a new Wednesday "with fewer meetings," and three major corporations had already offered to buy it and add meetings.
