About

TachyonDB is a small database server written in assembly with a binary wire protocol: clients send BQL bytecode and the server jumps straight through a 256-entry opcode table, with nothing to parse. This project holds both versions: tachyon, the original x86-64 server (Linux with raw syscalls and no libc, Windows via MSYS2 UCRT64), and tachyon8, the native ARM64 port (Linux aarch64 and Windows on ARM) with the same wire protocol. It also has C client tools (tachyon_client.c, tachyon_page.c, tachyon_bench.c, a small HTTP bridge), an Apache module, the protocol and BQL docs, the published benchmark write-ups, and install scripts (install-tachyon.sh/.bat and install-tachyon8.sh/.bat). Everything is C, GNU assembler source and shell/batch, 64-bit only, no external libraries. Linux x86-64 build and run is tested; Windows and the ARM64 server run are untested in this package, see README.md. MIT licensed, by Stunt Grok Jockey Tony / Tony Swain (@tswain555 on X).
